Dmytro Ivanovych Doroshenko is a Ukrainian politician, historian and the current Otaman-Minister of the Ukrainian State. Skoropadskyi decided to nominate a candidate who would have the broadest possible appeal in the Sojm. With ties to the Radical Democrats, Skoropadskyi decided to settle on the former Foreign Minister, Dmytro Doroshenko. Although many of the more leftist and rightist figures protested against Doroshenko’s nomination, the centrist majorities of the three parties supported him.
