Yoshi is an adult male Triceratops, that lives in what is now South Dakota, 71 million years ago. He was once the leader of a great herd, but has now been ostracised by a younger upstart. He now lives a somewhat nomadic lifestyle. He is very knowledgeable about the environment, knowing what's safe to eat and what's not, which dinosaurs are friends or foes, and so on. He also has an innate sense of humour, and can easily pull our a wisecrack or a funny joke.
