A couple of months after the incident, Junpei had become a full-fledged sorcerer. Mahito had nearly ruined his life and took it in the process, framing the kids at his old school for his mother's death, and telling him his only friend was in on it. Junpei is now free from all of that, and alive, and because of Yuji's words to join Jujitsu High, he did. He now sees he can save people the way Yuji saved him. The first thing he does as a sorcerer is save the friendship he once had.
