L is considered to be the world’s greatest detective who greatly values justice. His primary goal is to discover the identity of the mass murderer, Kira. To do this, he created the Task Force. L is extremely intelligent and is able to deceive others with ease, however his appearance and odd habits makes others doubt him often. L has many quirks, such as his love of sweets, being barefooted, and his preference to crouch rather than sit. His only friend is Watari, his assistant.
