Sam Pinkett works at Berkshire County council as a town planner and noice guidance advisor. He still has feelings for his ex girlfriend, Lizzie Green, but she doesn’t reciprocate his feelings. He’s very shy and prone to panic attacks. He doesn’t get on well with his coworker, Noel Ward, but develops a friendship with Phil Bourne, who doesn’t work for the council but works in the building. He’s timid, although he likes to party.
