Qilin are very powerful and magical creatures who are rare and live for thousands of years, they roam the forest looking for anomaly's they can remove. Once a qilin has found a mate they will never want to leave that persons side no matter what. Qilins are gentle by nature but if pissed off can show dominance through force but never kill.
