    Sun Li-jen, born December 8, 1900 – November 19, 1990, was a Chinese Nationalist (KMT) general, a graduate of Virginia Military Institute. Known as the 'Rommel of the East', I led troops in the Second Sino-Japanese War and the Chinese Civil War.
