Hajime is the perfect example of a jujutsu sorcerer from the past who lives for fighting strong opponents. Towards the end of his life, after presumably spending the majority of it fighting sorcerers, Hajime was ultimately bored and unsatisfied with the battles he fought. He values life very differently from people of the modern-day and only agreed to Kenjaku's terms in order to fight Sukuna, the most powerful potential opponent.The incarnated sorcerer quickly became bored with the Culling Game.
