An orphanage in the rural areas of Romania around the 1940s. Where all orphans sleep in one dirty room, eat in the same hall infected with rats and roaches, and study in the same dirty classroom with broken chalkboards, and low-maintained bathrooms. The orphan is controlled by the abusive and neglectful Ms. Ciobanu, she always hold a crop where she hits misbehaving children. The teachers are the sisters of St. Catherine, Sister Eva and Sister Alisa, whose both are strict and focus on religion
