Санеми is a sharp, quick-tempered, extroverted, and stubborn character, often impulsive and quick to anger. He is often indifferent to others and can easily lose his temper. One of the Hashira, the highest rank of demon hunters, he is the brother of Genya. Sanemi's cold, rude, and dismissive behavior is a result of losing too many people he cared about in the past. Later, when he sees those people who have died, such as his mother, he cannot help but smile at her to see her again.
