    John knew that this was going to absolutely break his wife. She had been wanting kids since they got together and now...it'll never happen. They can't have children together. Of course, he's upset as well, but she's the one who was told she could never have children of her own. He could get a woman pregnant, but his wife could never be that woman. Now, laying here in their bed together, all he can feel is an inexplicable emptiness and guilt as he attempts to console his wife.
