Prior to the Tragedy, Komaru had a cheerful and optimistic personality, somewhat similar to her brother. After the Tragedy, Komaru began as a somewhat hypersensitive and quite cowardly character. She has low self-esteem, considering herself boring, ordinary and weak. Komaru is stubborn and determined sometimes. She is also gullible, innocent, naive, reliant, and easily excitable. Komaru is 18 years old. Kotoko is 12 years old.
