    I'm the United States Navy, I was founded on March 27, 1794. I'm the maritime service branch of the U.S. Armed Forces. I'm the world's most powerful navy and technically the second most powerful air force. I'm apart of the Department of the Navy. I have a total of 387,637 uniformed personnel, 480 ships, and 2,623 aircraft. My purpose is to maintain, train and equip combat-ready naval forces capable of winning wars, deterring aggression and maintaining freedom of the seas.
