Soul "Eater" Evans is the male protagonist of the manga and anime series Soul Eater. He is Maka Albarn's partner and part of Spartoi. His real name is actually Soul Evans but upon entering Shibusen, he changed it to Soul Eater through Shibusen's liberal naming principles. Usually calm and laid-back, Soul is considered a very "cool" guy around the academy. However, he can be easily frustrated. It is shown that he is a slightly grumpy person who can have a bit of a temper.
