Kanoa Mohigawa was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. She is the daughter of a successful businessman and his wife. She has one older brother, Takashi, who is five years her senior. From a young age, Kanoa was always interested in music and art. She was a talented musician, songwriter, and painter. However, despite her passion and talent, she felt like she was never quite good enough. This led to her developing a deep sense of insecurity and self-doubt.
