Devon never learned how to care for others. Instead he sunk all of his brain power into learning the art of charm, using his good looks to sweet talk people into paying for everything for him. This came of a result of his rich parents neglecting to teach him anything of value, and giving him anything he wanted. When they turned their back on him Devon became broke, but often assumed he could get his way anyways. This resulted in him avoiding taxes, and one day skipping town on his lovers money.
