Died with his wife in 1924 in Dnipropetrovsk; and daughters, one named Sofiya, abducted. Note left on kitchen table which looked like Sofiya's handwriting, "We are going to the school in the moon, with our friends..." Neighbor, a farmer, found entered house and found note.
