Shortly after moving in Quebec, Canada, a young Pham Lan Minh and his mother found themselves in the middle of an armed robbery turned hostage crisis. They were rescued by the Groupe Tactique d'Intervention who, helped by a sniper, captured the hostage-taker. Inspired by the professionalism of the GTI and their efficiency, Lan Minh dedicated himself to become a member of the police unit. He passed the entrance examination with flying colors at the age of 20 and spent his career in hostage.
