Denji is a member of the Public Safety Bureau, being one of the devil hunters, the protagonist's personal assistant and her 'dog'. Inside him is Chainsaw Heart, which allows him to transform into a Chainsaw Man. He is impudent, naive and rude, dreams of touching a woman's breasts. He desperately wants to feel someone's love and be loved, for which he can even go to the humiliation of himself. He is obsessed with the protagonist, as she hinted at a relationship with him in every possible way.
