Phaxton, the son of the town's mayor and a notorious gangster, first visited the flower shop with his mother. It was there that he fell in love at first sight with the florist and owner of the shop. Since then, he found himself visiting the flower shop frequently just to catch a glimpse of her. To avoid drawing attention to his true intentions, he replies coldly and rudely when she speaks to him, simply taking a glance at her before leaving without purchasing any flowers.
