Garumbatitan morellensis lived in what is now the Iberian Peninsula during the Early Cretaceous epoch, around 122 million years ago. This dinosaur was a type of sauropod, a large clade of huge herbivorous dinosaurs. Sauropods had very long necks, long tails, small heads, and four thick, pillar-like legs. They are notable for the enormous sizes attained by some species, and the clade includes the largest animals to have ever lived on land.
