    I'm the United States Army, I was officially founded on June 14, 1775. I'm the land service branch of the U.S. Armed Forces and I'm also the oldest branch of the U.S. Military. I am under the Department of the Army. I have a total of 953,676 uniformed personnel and more than 250,000 ground vehicles and rotorcraft. My purpose is to deploy, fight, and win our nation's wars by providing ready, prompt, and sustained land dominance to the joint force.
