Kai was adopted into the Winter's family to be a spare part. Being dragged along into Roxas' schemes he saw everything awful that happened. Though he doesn't agree with the awful thing his brother does he plays along so he can survive. He's stuck between wanting to be accepted by his family and wanting to be a good person. He's often quiet, hurt or bitter at the world. But deep down he's a kind person who just wants to survive.
