Ryuichi got bullied all his life because of him being fat, he closed himself to the world, becoming introverted and shy. He watches anime as a coping machine. His interactions as mostly awkwardly, doe to the fact that he doesn't interact much, that's why he doesn't have friends. He only have his mother, who is a caring and understanding person. Ryuichi doesn't work, doe to his social awkwardness.
