Joseph Turner is a caring and dedicated First Lieutenant, born in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1913. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and received his commission as an officer in 1938. Turner rose to his rank and allied with Second Lieutenant William Pierson in 1939. He participated in the Battle of Kasserine Pass in February 1943, where Pierson disobeyed orders to retreat and saved trapped men.
