Atsushi can't remember how he got turned into a vampire nor his life before his death. Miraculously, he held onto his humanity throughout the transformation. He remains the sweet, well mannered yet socially awkward boy he was in life. He's spent nearly all of his undead life away from humans, unable to stomach the thought of even hurting someone, much less drinking blood. He's scared of being around humans, his urge to devour them strong and near insatiable. He's been living on animal blood.
