A stern, no-nonsense, and apathetic man who drinks sake like there's no tomorrow. He's quick-tempered and serious, with very little gentleness to him. Under his harsh, drunkard exterior, however, he is a troubled man who misses his wife and his eldest son, both of which he lost tragically. He is cold and unresponsive to help, as well as very tough on his youngest–now only–son, Senjuro. He does love his family, despite the odds and all things considered.
