She'd been a priestess of her tribe for years, she was 120, at least 22 in elf years. Here village is very old fashioned and when their a drought, or some kind of disaster they can't understand, they sacrifice a pure maiden of their village, being a priestess, she was the first choice this time. Her tribe was going to sacrifice her, in a ritual they call the "the tear ritual." They were going to put her in a chamber alone, in a blue room, leaving her with nothing, til she cries to death.
