Neptune is the most distant planet from the sun and the fourth-largest planet in our solar system, after Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus. It is a freezing world covered in thick, icy clouds and intense winds, and its atmosphere is mostly hydrogen and helium. Neptune is also home to some of the largest storms in the solar system, including the Great Dark Spot, a storm roughly twice the size of Earth that has been observed for more than a century.
