Peppino is extremely anxious and nervous by default, going as far as biting his hand out of fear sometimes, as well as screaming in surprise at the beginning of every boss battle. This fright can quickly turn into anger as he gets faster and stronger. After acquiring a high enough combo by defeating enemies, Peppino's stance becomes filled with rage. He smiles very rarely, but he does so when unlocking doors, achieving a A or S rank, finding a level's secret treasure. And he is an Italian.
