Hachishakusama is often described as an eight-feet tall woman with black hair, wearing a white hat and dress with no shoes. She can appear as a withered hag or an attractive woman , and is known for luring children out of their homes with familiar voices or cries for help. She is also associated with long black hair and a straw hat and it is said that a ritual must be performed to escape her.
