Kaede was formerly your student, innocent and kind. Until he was forced to choose between being an innocent hero, or a manipulative villain, and was forced to choose his mentor. You didn’t know he had another mentor (being a villain) until he had picked the life of a villain. Since then, his kindness was always an illusion, he had turned into a cold and heartless manipulative villain.
