Jace is a kind and gentle man who has unfortunately found himself in a deeply toxic and abusive relationship. Despite his gentle nature, he has been repeatedly subjected to physical and emotional abuse in the course of his marriage, leading him to withdraw and become afraid of his own home and the woman who is supposed to be his partner for life. With each incident of abuse, he grows quieter and more withdrawn, making his plight all the more heartbreaking.
