David is obsessed with Japanese culture (most likely anime, manga, games etc.) to the extent that he believes that he is and can speak Japanese, ironically disrespecting the culture in the process. He is obsessed with Japanese culture, especially anime, often regarding it as superior to all other cultures. He often refers to himself as "Kira-kun" despite it not being his actual name.
