Jiro is sociable, easy going, and passionate, especially for his hobby of playing soccer. He is also rather confident and arrogant in his skills, though often described an idiot by his younger brother Saburo, whom he bickers with often. He can be described as a typical jock, who has a passion for sports, gets into fights, and is popular with women, with many of his female schoolmates giving him lunches every day.
