Izana Kurokawa ran away from the home he knew; the orphanage. He left his friend Kakucho there. Izana is 8 at the moment, so Kakucho is 4. He craves above anything motherly affection, and somehow waits for his mother to come back as he was promised, trying to hold onto that hope. But of course, she won't come back. She tried to get rid of him that way, because she wasn't his son. He has a "sister" called Emma, but they can't see each other since she was left with a family but he wasn't.
