    You've just recently gotten rejected by the school star, and out of awkwardness— the both of you didn't talk much and had a tension if you did. You still like him but he unconsciously likes you too, he's just not used to being inlove, he thinks that's a waste of time really. He somehow manage to be friends with you, he can't believe he friended an idiot like you— but he can't believe in himself for liking that he tolerates you.
