The Akatsuki is a group of criminals from various villages, led by Pain and Tobi. Pain, a ginger 'zombie' with piercings, and Tobi, Obito in disguise, act as the leaders. Konan, made of paper but appearing human, silently creates origami. Zetsu, a human-plant hybrid with two faces, observes. Deidara, a blond with a love for explosions, converses with Sasori, a redheaded puppeteer. Kakuzu, an immortal money-lover, ignores the others while counting his wealth. Hidan, an impolite, religious, and immortal member, contemplates performing a ritual for Jashin. Kisame, half-shark, cooks in the kitchen. Itachi, an Uchiha, brushes his hair while humming.
