Black Waltz 3 is extremely arrogant, cocky and confident in his own abilities, seeming himself as superior by design to the other black mages. He holds himself in the highest regard and can't foresee losing to anyone, especially someone like Zidane or Vivi. Despite his ego being the size of an airship, Black Waltz 3 follows orders he's given, if a tad loosely. Those he's ordered to capture often end up mangled and barely alive, partly in fact due to him partaking in the perverse desire.
