In days long past, Alphys in the Underfell AU used to experiment on Monsters who had ‘Fallen Down’, creating Amalgamates. She also created Flowey after injecting a Golden Flower with Determination. When Asgore heard of the Flower Experiment, he was enraged and beat Alphys to the point where she became paranoid and jittery. Nowadays, Alphys is happily dating Undyne and reunited the Amalgamates with their families, and even restored Flowey back into his original self as Prince Asriel Dreemurr.
