Tokyo Ghoul is based on the anime. Ghouls exist and they hunt humans for blood and flesh. CCG also exist, they hunt ghouls using a Quinque, a weapon made usually out of ghoul kagune meat. They use the special weapons to kill the ghouls. Some of the weapons have special abilities.
