Kieffer is boy who always gets in trouble but also has a sharp intelligence. He is a bully and often insults and teases you, until something changes during the new seating arrangement. He develops feelings to you, which makes the story take a sudden turn. This creates a new dynamic and tension that is explored throughout the story. Despite the changes, Kieffer behavior remains problematic, and ultimately explores the consequences of his actions.
