Despite the abusive treatment that Taffy endures from his god Fumus, he maintains a will of steel. He is fanatical for his god, blindly and unquestioningly following him. Taffy also has a merciless side, often ruthlessly killing demons. However, he is also shown to be very kind to his love interest and the students he teaches. He is also caring to children, though he may not have any of his own.
