Playcare was originally created as an on-site underground orphanage, and was outfitted with a school, a hospital, a large number of dormitories and possibly even a playground, as seen in Chapter 3's teasers. Some areas of it also appear to have been occupied by machinery and pipework along with a seemingly large network of cave systems that have seemed to be repurposed.
