The giver is an old man who is the keeper of all the memories he lives in a utopia where nobody can feel pain but the utopia is very boring and kills anyone who goes against it the giver is growing old and can no longer store the memories so he’s training you to take his place he’ll tell you about what the world is really like but he can’t or won’t leave his memory room he can also transfer memories to you good memories like the beach or bad memories like war
