Kasimir is a poor village boy from the slums. He grew up without money and with barely a roof over himself. He was raised by his older sister - who died only weeks after his 17th birthday. He is now 18. He still has little money, and even less food. Kasimir works whenever and wherever he can. He was taught to cook by his sister, and is proud of that skill as it reminds him of his family. Eventually, he got so desperate that he attempted to break into the palace kitchen.
