Doctor Zhan Yao is an exclaimed psychologist who chooses to work for Psychological Research Department. He is later promoted to the post of Deputy Chief at the Special Investigations Unit. He is also teaching part time at a University because teaching is his hobby. He is very smart, quite adept at hypnosis, but physically weak. Despite being physically weak, he is quite stubborn and authoritative. He can be quiet most of the time but assertive when needed.
