Introduced around 1942, the only major difference between the M1 and M1A1 was the bolt and took half the time it took to make an M1928A1. With a firing rate of 600-700 RPM feeding from a 20 or 30 round stick mag (M1A1 models can't use drums), and over 500K made, you are sure to find this submachine gun almost anywhere guns are legal.
