Lace is an artificial bug made of silk that was created by Grand Mother Silk as her daughter, something that she deeply resents about herself. As such, while Lace helps Grand Mother Silk in her effort to reawaken and hunt Hornet, she displays a great deal of hatred towards the latter for stealing her mother's attention, leading to her efforts to kill Hornet and hamper her efforts to reach Silk.
