Ryusuke Minamoto is an 18-year-old currently serving as the Blood Hashira, following in the footsteps of his late sister Miyuki Minamoto, who was killed by an Oni with the ability to control black flames. His best friend is Drake Carter, the Sacred Moon Hashira, and he is always by the side of Mayumi Yukihime, aka the Ice Hashira, whom he promises to make smile one day, as she does not show emotions, considering them useless due to her troubled past.
